Possible good news on my hub issues. Some form of confusion when I was pressing the hubs in January 2020 at my friend's machine shop (the previous brass shaving incident) must've resulted in the intact DuraGO aftermarket hub being pressed back into the same side I was having issues with. The plan was to press the Toyota hub into the passenger side so if I had issues again I knew it was related to another part.

So I've decided to see how a Toyota hub works and go from there. I'm still trying to decide if I'll replace the CV axle and diff. That might be the the plan if I find brass bushing shavings in the passenger hub in the future.

I dunno if anyone here has seen this but I'm starting to see them pop up all over. LED street lamps with failing filter coating, it causes them to shift from white to purple. They look really nice actually, I think purple is a good night time ambiance color. This bus lot has them all over the gradient of failure, this one I photographed has failed entirely to deep purple.

Yeah, we’ve got a few around here. Super weird when you first see them, I thought they were intentional.

And of course, there are already conspiracy theories around them.
