    A random Jeep owner.

Didn't even air down at all but we got her unstuck.

There was another group of Jeep guys that kept getting stuck, overheating, and fucking up the trails by digging deep ass ruts with their 40s while bouncing off the rev limiter.

If there's one thing that Matt's Offroad Recovery has taught me, it's that Jeeps are known for overheating over nothing. Also that Jeep owners tend to not understand they can't drive into a bank of snow or sand with their factory future scrap pile lol

I went through 3 iterations of progressively more expensive window tints before I just said fuck it and let the sun in

I've only ever had tint removed, never put it on a vehicle. Had a tinted windshield on my BMW when I got it. It was so awful, it's amazing the PO didn't kill anyone driving at night.

Ya the only place I really *need* it is the rear to block Kyle's sun blaster 5000s

Windshield tint? Too cool for sunglasses I guess?

There were so many; 4 were outside this picture up ahead and another 2-3 far back.

Looks like a hell of a fun time! Is that a national forest or something?

Most excellent day, girlfriend and I wandered around the rural areas north of town and went down a few roads I know that are pretty, then stopped for a burger and watched football and drank some beer.

    caught plenty of salt…sheesh

So, the line of Jeeps on the far right, were 1 group.

All older adults, and we never ran into them until we got off onto the paved road to head home.

They were a cool bunch and apparently helped get several people unstuck, including the group far behind us in my other posted picture.

Apparently, the guys with the F150, Ram 1500, Chevy 1500 and whatever else they had, got stuck for hours and ended up camping out there for like 3 days.

What caused the whole mess with deep ass ruts and people getting stuck were these 5-6 Jeeps (the line of Jeeps closer to me in the pic, with the colored lights). They were all on 1 ton axles, beadlock 40s or bigger, and crazy suspension. Yet they were being stupid as hell in the snow getting stuck where we were able to drive through in our trucks. One of those Jeep guys ended up overheating twice so we had to wait cause there was no space to go around them. He kept overheating cause he kept smashing on the throttle non-stop to get unstuck

Just a road leading up to a forest road!

Not really familiar with the area as I've never been there before.

It was up in Sonora. Tell you what though, the snow on the roads was just above knee high. Walk off to the side a bit and it easily reached your waist.

    OH before I forget!

So apparently, the 2 solo Jeeps that we helped getting unstuck, had a 3rd Jeep with them.

Well, she got snow bunched up in her new skid and whatever it was, punctured her oil pan.

Driving back to the road, you just see this loooooooong trail of oil that she had been dripping out the whole way back. We all swore this girl leaked like 10 quarts of oil cause we were faaaaar -

I may not be able to share it after all. One of those FB limitation things. I was going to comment that I see a lot of trails that people with 40" tires have rutted out. Too much of it unless the trail is on a rock bed where they can't rut it out.

Unless I've got 40" or a very narrow wheelbase, I just high center on those trails. I fell into one of those situations back in November. It has made me rethink tire sizes. Realistically, unless I go BIG and get near 40", I'm just pissing in the wind.

To go 35" will require a body lift to be right. Just to get an inch, that's not enough in the end isn't worth messing with.
