When I'm driving, everyone slower than me is an idiot and everyone faster than me is insane.

Yeah...I'm thinking it passed legislation right after the $1000 fine for a server giving a customer a plastic straw without the customer asking for it.

My father told me that a few days ago someone came to a complete stop on the highway to allow on-coming traffic in. It gets better, the car to the left of him followed suit so he was unable to escape the shitshow. Said the car behind him was a saint as they were paying attention and didn’t plow into him.

I got stuck behind an early 2000s Mercedes E-class last month; Didn't get a look at the driver, but I'm pretty sure they were over 65...

So, we are on a 2-lane road, no passing of course (and at night), and this twit is doing 15 MPH under the posted 45 speed limit; There was a line of cars behind me.

At one point, they were 20 MPH under; I finally got frustrated and just blasted my horn. This prompted whoever it was to come to a dead stop in the middle of the road, and just sit there; I honestly think it was not road rage on their part but just confusion, and that they should not have been driving. Luckily, there a shoulder and a right turn lane on the right, so I just drove around them without having to cross the double yellow line and continued on without incident. I really think it was just a confused senior citizen who had no idea what they were doing or where they were going...

ah, yes. Another angry minivan driver that feels like they don't get any respect for owning one trying to own a Tacoma at the moment. You can't outperform a long wheel base , front wheel drive minivan with freshly siped 14x6" winter tires in treacherous winter conditions. With snow covered zero visibility windows, now he's just showing off.

In GA, and probably most places, you're allowed to pass a vehicle obstructing traffic even in a no-passing zone if you determine it is safe to do so. Once the car stopped it certainly qualified as an obstruction. But even if driven well below the speed limit. The law was intended for people to pass slow moving farm equipment that is holding up traffic. But could apply to anything.

Same type of van was flying this morning passing everyone. Roads were in really bad condition. Must be a Chrysler thing.
Also in front of me was a second gen tacoma I think a pre runner was struggling really bad to take off at the light. The next light he didn’t even bother to stop he ran a red light:D

Such a big safety concern in snowy areas. I wish cops would ticket for shit like this.

Where I live, a mile to the south is a retirement village. A mile to the east is the third world.

To the south, I exercise patience for the slow super cautious drivers. I keep in mind if I get in an accident, someone’s grandparent may be seriously injured or killed. It is cool to see the occasional pristine 60’s car that’s never been modified or painted.

To the east, I exercise patience for those who drive like there are no laws, speed limit means how fast does my car go. I keep in mind if I get in an accident, there’s a good chance they won’t have a drivers license or insurance, and will drive away if they can, if they can’t they’ll jump out and run away.

As far as pet peeve’s, for me it’s distracted drivers. I spend a lot of time on the road and see a lot. Sex, both hands and eyes on a phone, eating a bowl of cereal with both hands, putting on makeup, reading a newspaper fully opened with both hands, reaching over to dig in the glove box, reaching to the back seat to feed a baby, sleeping, fist fighting, all while in motion driving. In my state, distracted driving is illegal.
