Deaver sent wrong bushings

    Lucky I didn’t tear my Taco apart. Deaver sent the wrong bushing kit. Was gonna install yesterday and the bushings are to small just drop in the springs.

    how much play? my understanding is they're supposed to just drop right in... you don't need a press or anything for those.

    edit: we're talking leaf springs, right?

    Correct, I just installed mine a few weeks back. The bushings just slide right in.

    No pressing. Drop in and loose. 1/8” gap or more.

    That does sound potentially excessive. Got my ironman kit on the garage floor waiting for install... the bushings go in by hand but there is definitely *some* resistance. You got any calipers handy? Mine are clocking in a hair over 40mm.

    No resistance. They drop in. I’ve installed plenty of leaf springs. There is way to much play.

    Sounds like you know what you have, a call to Deaver should fix things. Agreed it was good you checked before you tore your truck down.

    Boosted Money Pit....
    Def give them a call they will send out the right parts quick. They sent me the wrong u bolts and had a new set sent up pretty quick. I already had the old stuff off so the truck had to sit for a couple days.
