Is there a way to have both LEDs in a CH4x4 switch on at all times if the dash lights are on? I am using one of their momentary switches as a garage door opener and would rather just have both of them on to find the button in the dark. Plus, the opener battery isn't strong enough to illuminate the second LED anyways.

From poking around the forums this is usually a sign that something is wired incorrectly but I would like to do it on purpose.

You would have to pull the switch apart and isolate the LED from the garage door opener circuit. The way it is wired currently, when the switch closes, the LED gets powered. Separating the circuits might not be possible.

Already have the switch taken apart and trying to follow the traces on the PCB. I'm not sure if the circuit to the opener is in series with the LED or in parallel.

Hey OP - I'm changing my current momentary switch to CH4x4 momentary style and cant figure out the wiring for the 4 wires vs just 2 on my current switch. How did you connect yours?
Mine has 4 wires - black, yellow ( thicker), blue and green.
My old switch just had 2 prongs so easy peasy from the garage door opener.
    Any advice?

I have the adjacent green and red wires soldered to the switch connections on my opener. The other red wire and the black wire are used for illuminating the switch when the dash lights are on (optional). I used an add-a-fuse to connect the red wire to the in-cab fuse box under the steering wheel.

Figured I would close the loop on this since I had some time to screw around over the holiday.

In order to get both LEDs to always be on, I first removed the resistor that goes to the secondary/on light and then used a jumper to wire the two LEDs in parallel. Both are tied to the same common low so only one wire was necessary.

Then I swapped out the remaining resistor for a 10k in order to dim both bulbs more in line with the OEM brightness. To try and match the color, I used a bit of blue painters tape on the inside of the button to tint the lettering. Thought about doing the same for the garage symbol but kind of liked the white blue combo. The match looks better in the photo but close enough for me.
