Last time I looked this was a 3rd Gen thread. Try backing up a trailer with a 6MT 3rd Gen.

No money, all went to truck...
Wow. Ouch. The 2nd gen reverse is geared similarly to the 3rd, I understand the pains of the high geared reverse. Yes I own a 2nd gen, I'm about to get a 3rd. Does this pass the 3rd gen thread smell test?

Hey, sorry. That did not come off right. No offense intended. That high reverse is painful isn't it?

You know the truck comes with a built in hook on the door and a loop in the gas cap leash to hang on it rather than letting it hang like a dummy? Mind bottling I know.

If you're handy, you can make a shift knob, I used an old pool ball. The boot collars sold by Trailbreaker Customs on Etsy (@7r41lbr34k3r here on TW) are fantastic whether you make or purchase a better (heavier) shift knob.

There are a myriad of center console and glove box organizers on Amazon, the center console tray is a must-have IMO.

Get a seat protector for the back seat if you have kids or doggos riding back there. I went with Kurgo and don't regret it.

The fitted sunshields from Husky or HeatShield are great when it's hot out, the generic ones from Walmart are cheaper but not as nice to use.

I'm installing the power tailgate lock on mine this weekend, half the time I can't remember if I manually locked the tailgate. The bed lights and bed mat are really great, and a tonneau cover should be very high on your list too, everything else I've listed is under $100.

In general, you will find out what you need/want after driving it around for a couple months. Enjoy!

Reverse is geared high indeed, but there's a reason they don't offer 2Lo from the factory. Be warned and do your research if you go that route!

I actually made one in the past, I didn't epoxy in the fittings well enough and it came apart. I carved something from a block of hardwood.

Will look into the organizers and sunshields.

Yes, I will be getting a waterproof seat cover for the back. I had one in my 2nd gen and the seat looks brand new after 2 kids, 2 dogs and 10 years. These are also great for anyone interested.
