yes im sure because i run LED in my projectors lol and they are angled below driver seating position. You cant do that with a reflector.

cutoff-sheild-for-projector-headlights-1024x642_600x600_crop_center.jpgProjector as you can see has a cutoff so you cant blind ppl. Although you will need to adjust the angle of the light when you install the new bulb.

IMG_0424.jpgReflector has no cutoff and throws light everywhere.

I had it backwards. I know there is a guy in my neighborhood with super bright ass LEDs in his Silverado and they blind the shot out if everybody. Now that I’m corrected, I’ll look into some DD LEDs to drop into my headlights.

Most brights on cars are reflector and low beams are projector. Just makes more sense since your not supposed to have brights on anyways around others. My truck headlights are like that. Just make sure to park your truck like 5 feet away from a wall and angle the light down enough.

I’m just looking at some Amazon bulbs does it matter what connector some are universal, just get some that mount for a d2s projector? That’s what I’ve got just looking for some bulbs with good reviews.

if youve got the stock 2nd gen headlights i would not get LED's. Those are reflectors and your gonna blind ppl lol. I have aftermarket headlights. Unless your gonna retrofit some projectors in there.

this is the only bulb brand i run now and ive run through like 10 plus different brands of LED headlight bulbs and this has by far been the best. Its ironically one of the cheap ones ive bought as well. You can choose the bulb size from the menu.

That’s what I added in my cart I’m guessing the d2s is the size for that projector?

What kind of connector does your bulb have? The stock one? Like is it the 3 prong one?

I had to adjust the DD SS3s on Jeannie's 4runner 3 times to get it right. First time, I mounted them flush, just like I did on my Tacoma. They ended up being pointed way too high and was flashed by everybody on the street! lol 2nd time, they were mounted too low and she couldn't see down the road. I was frustrated by this time, but the 3rd time adjustment, I finally got them adjusted correctly.

You tried the DD LED bulbs? I kinda want to stick with them since their fogs are so freaking awesome.

No but ive watched reveiws on them and they aren't as good as some of the other cheaper options on the market from what ive seen. Maybe they've improved them idk.

There's like umpteen million types of LED drop ins for Tacoma projectors! When you say adjusting afterwards, are you talking about that 8mm bolt that turns that little sprocket that adjusts up or down?

Ok, that's pretty easy. Manually tilting fogs up or down is a guessing game until you get it right.

Going to Tuxedo Inn to get measure this afternoon! I'll shoot you the measurements when I get them.
