Thanks to you guys I decided to go with Michelin Defender ltx M/S. They are running a sale at Costco this month. I need 265/70/17. They have 2 options 1)speed rated R with 50k miles warranty that is $60 more per tire and 2) speed rated T 70k warranty.
which one is better application for the truck?
Also what is your thoughts about the AT2
    Thanks

Id go with the T speed rating since theyre cheaper and a higher top speed rating. I have run the defenders and LTX a/t2 on my truck and they are both great tires. Can't go wrong either way, but you get more of a warranty on the defenders IIRC

The different is that the lower speed rating is for a higher load range (E Load) and the higher speed rating is a lower load range (SL). If you are just driving on road most of the time, and not carrying heavy loads constantly, stick with the SL.

EDIT/Add: E load will be way stiffer/harsher ride. SL way more comfortable ride.
