Congratulations! This should always be the first "Mod" anyone does before spending money on other things. Never pay interest on a loan if you can avoid it!

 

Just installed an N2 Designs remote start on my AC base model. I only had a regular key. Now I hava fob for remote lock/unlock as well as remote start and a panic button. It was a piece of cake, too. The installation took about 20 minutes. Including programming the module and fobs.

 

Looking for advice... just got my 2020 Tacoma Access Cab and I want to install driver's/passenger's side steps What brand do i want? Need heavy duty, they ain't just for looks! How tuff to install?

 

I got the @AJT DESIGN steering wheel trim pieces installed today. Easy job - forgot to take pictures of removing the trim caps over the air bag screws. A trim tool works well and they popped out easily. After getting the air bag out of the way, it's just 5 screws on each side (2 front, 3 back) to get the old pieces out and then pop in and secure the new ones.

Remember to unhook the negative battery cable before you play with the air bag!!!

Man mice will mess things up. I don’t want to kill anything that isn’t the problem but sometimes it can’t be helped. I keep poison out in my garage and shop. The other day I was putting it out and my wife noticed wet tracks leading to where the poison used to be…she said oh no the dog ate it. We watched him for a few days and it has no obvious issues. I guess the block of tomcat poison wasn’t enough to hurt him.

 

does anyone make a cheap Molle panel? These seem way over priced for what they are.

 

If it's not sub 32F you can do this, cheap and highly effective. You can also buy pre-made ones, but it's easy to make if you already have the pieces.

Forgot to add, if you have freezing temps and don't want to use antifreeze because of outdoor cats, then used motor oil works with the same setup. A little messy and sadistic, but a quick death for those little rodent bastards.

 

A better mouse trap, peanut butter on the can. Prop a stick up as a ramp to within an inch or two of the can.

 

"Sadistic but sort of humane" strikes that fine balance between not wanting to hurt animals basically ever and how I feel about these rats threatening my "already becoming a piece of shit" truck.

 

It’s not just for manuals otherwise why have it. I was under the impression that it helps relieve pressure on the trans or something like that. I use mine every time and will continue to and believe it or not it’s not just a frozen thing because it has happened to me a handful of times… in Florida. Of all those times it was within the first yr and I think I washed it the night before each time (not 100 positive). I was able to break it free by reverse/drive but it definitely jerked. I still wash in the evening/night without driving until the following day and it hasn’t happen since that first yr.

I definitely think that is a piss poor solution by mechanics or Toyota- don’t use it under certain circumstances.

My set of USR switchback signals showed up today, only took about a half hour and i love them.i find them way nicer than sequential signals. Also I didnt hook up the DRL tho, i dont particularly like the look but i picked them up for a good deal.

 

But switchbacks are fun.

Just finished installing the Kicker Subaru Tweeters in my 2021 SR5. What a tremendous difference in clarity! Next is the Kicker door speaker upgrade with sound deadening material as well.

I was one of those horror stories. Remover the vinyl and found scratches on driver side back door.

So I ended up ordering some pillar covers from Tufskiz. Covered up the scratches but back to square one.
