    weather liers are claiming some more snow on the way, we shall see.

    Let me ask a group question, I'm confused as to how to precede with a weird job offer.

    The nuts and bolts of it- after being jerked around for 5 days, the company finally made an offer, which was about 7K less then I wanted. They told me to think aboot it and call them back with an answer. I called back the next day and told them I'd like to counter offer, the HR lady listened to my counter offer and said that it seemed reasonable and that she would run it by the dept supervisor that interviewed me and I'd have an answer the next day. That was 5 days ago. NYE happened during that time, so I'm allowing for that but I've left 1 VM with the HR lady without a response.

    I could really use this job, at least until I can find something better. Do I bug them again or just wait it out? I get the feeling that this is their
    (unprofessional) way of telling me to go pound sand. I would expect a return call with something along the lines of " our offer is firm, take it or leave it".

    same but i have a summer pack and a winter pack. winter has more warm stuff. never go anywhere outta town without my boots, snow pants, multi layer jacket, hat/gloves and wool socks. leave that stuff at home in the summer. but i always have my water filter, fire kit, garbage bag (rain proof, lightweight, easier than a rain jacket), tarp, head lamp and a few other odds and ends.
    i did a grilled cheese the other day too. something about cold weather makes that taste 10x's better
    still a handsome fella!
