What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

My 05 just rolled over 88k miles!

 

I think he was referring to all your bolts being paint marked so you can see if anything comes loose.

 

Replaced LED map, dome, mirror and license plate bulbs. LOL it's the small things that matter!

 

Oh yeah I do that on everything, especially moving parts.

Chop N Dig mounts from @upTOPoverland . The picture on their website isn't updated.
I already had the "Quick Fist" clamps so I emailed them and they took off the price of the clamps so I was able to pay just for the mounts. Great customer service!!

 

I don't see too many folks torque stripping our truck fasteners. I TS critical fasteners to keep an eye on them.

What product did you use to paint the plastic. It all looks great!

Thanks for noticing! And I actually just used an undercoating spray and gave it a polish. That stuff really rejuvenates plastic. Mind you it leaves it greasy and the effect is only short lived. Rust Cure 3000 is what I used. Got it at Peavey Mart in Canada (formerly TSC)

It was a job, but not terrible. I think it’s certainly worth putting deadening material on the floor of the cab and if the carpet is in bad shape, then you might as well put in new carpet or vinyl when you put it all back together. I can’t imagine the vinyl was much different than installing carpet, fwiw.

Waiting for some nice weather on a day off so I can install my Sherpa Grand Teton rack.

 

-Replaced all beadlock rings and added ring spacers for a better seat without coning the rings.
- added rear 1.25” spacers for shock relocation clearance.
- made more DS firewall clearance, full lock no rub on street and decent clearance for wheeling but OBVIOUSLY still need to TUB
- replaced PS cv axle (had a torn boot) lifetime Napa warranty FTW.

BASICALLY DID ALL OF THIS W MY 2 & 5 YEAR OLD IN THE GARAGE. DADFLEX

 

Thats quite the project. Looks great though! Did you fit the vinyl yourself or buy a kit?
