    Hi All,

I've had my 2017 Tacoma for over 2 years now. Bought it used Dec'19. When I left the dealership, there was a slight vibration/pull... so I took it back. They "realigned/moved tires around" and when I left the second time... it seemed perfect.

Fast forward 6 months (and up till now... 24+months later), I've been unable to get the tires to stay balanced properly for more than a couple months at a time. I've been to three different auto shops / wheel guys, and they've all told me that my aftermarket rims have issues with my tire. They can keep rebalancing... but the aftermarket wheels don't do well on Tacomas. They have mentioned that I should look into getting OEM replica wheels.

My current tire/wheel size is 265/70R16. My rims are Pro Comp brand, not exactly sure which style, but I think the're the Pro Comp 31 Series Stryker Matte Black Alloy wheels. Can't remember tire make at the moment, but I believe they're a Goodyear all-terrain tire. Slightly nobby, but not very. They're not very loud on the road.

I've got about 30k miles on the truck. According to the mechanics I've seen, everything else is structurally sound. My issue that keeps reoccuring is a balancing one.

I like the aesthetic of the wheels I have now (black with silver bolts around edge). Before I go to an OEM replica wheel site and buy some new wheels, I'd like to make sure I don't waste my time/money. Any input at all would help.

Do I need new wheels and tires? Can I just try new wheels first? Discount tire wheels seemed really expensive, any online sources I could buy from and then take to a tire place to swap out for me?

    Thanks!!!
