I always have trouble coming NB into DC from I-95, I can NEVER get on the right combination of exits to get onto the 495 West loop to head towards Rockville/270 split. I follow every posted sign and a lagging WAZE voice telling which (wrong) exit I should have taken before it "recalculates" and changes her mind with a new set of directions for an exit that I've already gone past.

 

were about the same. got big trashbags,fire starter, lites n extra batteries ,tarp,shovel,axe etc…

Good morning folks! Making another run this morning to pick up pet food not sure about the rest of the day I have reservations at table rock state park starting today but I’m not feeling it. I would be going by myself so I don’t believe I’ll do the whole camper thing I might throw my stuff in the 4Runner and go wet a line somewhere. It’s been a while since I did one of my leave the house and decide along the way where I’m going trips it’s about time for one.

The weather liers might be getting something right about the snow forecast, it looks like the township has coated the roads with the Toyota eating secret sauce.

 

I am currently in the middle of my 4th major employment search in the last 11 years. I have had similar scenarios many times over the years, and in just about all cases, I never heard back from the employer again.

Back in 2011, I was flown from northern to southern CA, put up in a hotel for 2 nights, rental car....... a few days after the interview, I got email from their HR people to submit various info and consent for them to do a background check. That's usually a sure sign they are going to extend an offer..... as a CA resident, CA state law requires you, as a job applicant, be given a copy of any background check. I got my copy, reviewed it, everything was 100% correct and accurate. To this day, I have never heard back from that company.

I had an interview with a company in early December, so a month ago. Interviewed with the entire team that I would potentially be working for, if hired. I thought it went very well. Never heard from them again... until Monday of this week, they want to schedule a Round 2 interview with me. So, it is certainly possible you will hear back form them again soon. However, personally, if you don't hear back by next Monday, I would say it is entirely appropriate to send them a follow up email/call just to let them know you are still interested. If you don't hear back by end of that week, then I would say most likely it's Game Over for that position.

Truck has been tweeked over the years for the desert. We have seen temps ranging from 0° to 100° and yes, snow. And now I carry 10 extra gallons of gas.

Yep, always have some emergency supplies in the vehicles, even in the South. "Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it".
