040 Paint issues

Does anyone have experience in AZ with the 040 super white paint flaking off? If so what dealership did you contact and did the help resolve the issue?

 

known issue with the single stage paints. I actually created a thread on this. No recall yet so you're basically at the mercy of the dealer/corporate for a goodwill fix.

My wife has the same paint color/code on her 2013 RAV4 and it's doing the same in the edges of the doors and the hood. Pretty common with Toyota white I hear. She's way out warranty though of course. We just picked up a touch up pen for it but it won't look great on the flaky areas.

Yeah mine is doing the same thing aswell. What you have to do is call Toyota corp and file a complaint. They already have one going on. So its basically throwing your name on it. Once they get enough people they will do a recall for the Tacoma. Currently the only recall for the super white is the RAV4. Like others said you can take it to a dealership and see if you got one that will do it under good faith.

 

My 08 got a paint recall.
