    I am in. My Veracruz has footwell lighting, and I miss not having it in the Tacoma.

    We wanted something that was at least close to the gauge cluster color. So the Aqua blue is a little lighter than the gauge cluster. It’s pretty hard to see the difference, though. The plan is to fine-tune one that is more custom-made for the Toyota blue after the initial launch.

    Before this I was looking at those awful Amazon footwells that you can change colors and have to be plugged into the cig lighter…

    I definitely am looking forward to these!

    Changed my vote to blue after reading the above. White would be OK, aqua blue would be better.

    With the purchase of an extra set of the LEDs, would it work to have the white set be used for High only and the blue set be used for Low only?

    The simplest way would be to get a second set of lights + extensions. Plug the extension for the white lights into the shorter 2-pin connector coming from the OE-style harness. Don’t plug it into the PWM. Then for your blue lights you would plug the longer 2-pin connector coming from the OE-style harness into the LOW slot on the PWM. Your extension for the blue lights would plug into the output of the PWM. However, doing it this way would mess with priority settings. So in the case you have your headlights on and the door open you’re going to have a white/blue mix :) Basically the only time you’d have that, though. I’d have to build logic using relays if you wanted to get something fully custom. Or ask VLEDS for a pass-through on a second output if you wanted two colors.

    What would I do if I just wanted some discreet footwell lighting that basically works with the domelight circuit?

    That would be a custom harness I can make by hand, albeit pretty labor intensive.

    @kmorgan3:
    1. Will there be a red option for purchase? Or was the poll to see interest for what to go to production with?
    2. Is there a way to manually turn off just these lights?

    There will be red, deep blue, aqua blue, and several shades of white. If you want to turn off the lights you can simply disconnect the output on the PWM; when we release the instructions you'll see that the PWM should be pretty easy to access even after the install. It would take about 10 seconds to get it disconnected.

    But why would I want/need my feet illuminated? This just seems silly.

    To help you find things when you drop things at night. Not so much for the driver as the passenger.
    And to give more light when you get in at night.

    What other reason do you need?
