    Just e-mail Dustin: fnwheels@gmail.com

I also didn't realize they had the five stars in 17" until I e-mailed. I ordered a couple days ago and was able to get 5x in matte black in-stock... not sure if they have other finishes in stock or not but Dustin was able to e-mail quotes and extra photos and everything. Standup customer service to be sure.

Do you have any other pics of your truck with the 5 stars from various angles? I'm looking at getting some 285's and am going back and forth between 16's and 17's. I had a set of the 5 stars in a 16x8 4.5" BS on my old truck and I have been looking for pictures of them in the 17x8.5 in black on a 2nd gen Tacoma. My truck is the same grey color as yours as well.

These are all the pictures Dustin sent me of the 17" Five Stars. I uploaded them for another thread and figured I'd throw them up here as well. Seems a lot of folks (including me) don't know they come in 17" since the website only seems to list them as a 16" offering. (I know not on truck so not necessarily useful to @boostedka ... Gonna be a few weeks at the very least but I've got my eyes set on 285/75/17 ridge grapplers and will be sure to post photos when the big day comes).

Thanks for linking those pics! I’m debating 285/75/16, 285/70/17, and also 285/75/17 as well. I just started looking into the 285/75/17. What all is required to fit them? I’m planning on CMC and Regear with any of these sizes.

I also wanted the SCS F5's but they are almost always out of stock in the specs I want. Summit Dakars have the same issue. Ended up with TE37XT's since Showstoppers already had a bunch coming in.. don't regret it. :D

Edit: actually I just realized I was looking at your build thread yesterday. You have any other pics of your truck to see the figment of your wheels?

    17x8.5 -10 wrapped in 285/70/17 NRG's.

I haven't had time to take any proper pics of the truck, but hopefully soon. I'm still not used to it being off jackstands yet lol.

Yup... they were "in stock" last night. Sold out in less than two minutes. LMAO.

Those TE37XTs are SUPER nice but but had my wallet cowering in fear :spending:

I'll have to let you know once I get them on  From what I've read 2.5-3" lift, CMC, mudflaps, and hammering the pinch weld along with taking a heat gun to the fender liner to coax it in a few places. I've already chopped my bumper for a plate bumper but that could also be in the cards. Like I said though... this is all just from tweaking out on posts on here. I'm still running stock wheels/tires.

I'm not planning on re-gearing... hoping it'll be tolerable.

I would've shied away from those on the weight... but damn they have a TON of configuration options and the price is killer. Nice addition to the thread.

Edit: That *can't* be right on the weight... the 18x9 weighs the same as the 16x8?? o_O

I wanted something that I didn't mind touching up with some flat black rattle can after YOLO-ing through something I had no business being in. And for the price, I can afford a replacement or two and still come out on top. Plus I wanted one for the spare...and 2 more for an offroad camper build...so it was adding up quick.

Most def. It's a good lookin' wheel for the price especially as a hubcentric option. I'm still not convinced on the weight since they have 31 pounds listed for literally every single configuration.

Any chance your two camper wheels are sitting in the garage and able to be weighed for science?

Hmm. They already have tires mounted, but I'll see what I can find.

Bathroom scale said 84.2lbs with a new 285/75/16 BFG KO2 range E mounted and inflated. Tire rack lists that specific size/load rating as 59lbs, discount tire says 60. So that's actually 24.2-25.2lbs for the 16x8, +0 rim.
    Even better.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
I run the Falken Wild Peaks ATW/3 in 285/75r17. On the second set. I researched heavily at the start. Went with 07-10 FJ Crusier 17"x7.5" 6 spokes for the offset. SPC UCA, CMC, flattened the pinch weld, remounted the after market mudflaps (cause I am on gravel daily), also have plate bumper. Later on I added I think 1" spacers for a flush stance. Now occassionly rub on the mudflap hardware in certain situations. I think my aligment could be improved and prevent the rub.

I have 6112 w/ 14" 650lbs springs on the 3rd position, I think. Dakars out back. With the 6 speed manual, I regeared to 4.56. Now I am overgeared for the hwy but is much nicer day to day and off road. I consider it a must and probably even more so on a 3rd gen. But now I am tempted to go skinny 35s...

I am of the mind that lift does not matter with tire size, except for mall crawling where you never flex and turn the wheels and have bump stops limiting the up travel. Tires are not static.

    My 2 pennies...
