    Folks,

I am looking for rv/trailer windows that have a vertical slide action. But I want ones that when open, have the screened portion at the top of the window - not that bottom.

Here's a pic to clarify of what seems to be the only way they are made & note the weep hole at the bottom.

I want one that has the opening at the top - like this (I simply flipped the same image over to illustrate). I would like the ability to lock the window in the up position as well as points going down.

I have emailed a few retailers and they tell me there is not a way to keep the window in the up position and eventually gravity (w/ vibrations) will cause the window to slip down. Additionally the weep hole is not in the intended place to allow drainage.

A bulkhead or awning style of window would work better than the upper pic / window, but doesn't tick all my boxes.

Has anyone seen the type of window I want?

    Thanks!

    John

After looking at some close-up photos of like windows, I think the issues are: 1) no weep hole in the upside down position 2) no ability to hold the window up / closed given the design & intended positioning. That said, I think I will order one (or look for a used one more likely) and cut out out a weep hole as well as create a way to hold the window up.
