I put on 5100s up front on the 4th notch I believe. I love it rides great. It's like 1/4 inch higher in the front but not really noticeable.

1.5" will level it perfectly. 2nd clip will not be enough lift and will settle further over time. 3rd or even 4th clip should make OP happy.

Where did you get them and can use share the item #? There are so many variations of Bilstein 5100's out there it seems. Would be great to see a before/after profile of your truck too!

front with my springs freshly mounted today but not installed yet, and rear I already installed so I included a 4wp screenshot of when I purchased(cause it’s cold outside ha!). Will upload pic of truck pre and post when I finish.

I have 885 and I gained 1.8 + aal. The difference between the rear and front was 1.1" before the installation in my case.
You most like will get a slight nose up attitude with just 885s.
I don't see any settling on my 885s yet

that’s what I was worried about initially. From lifting a few trucks in my life I know this fitment and driveline issue can be a slippery slope that an owner has to chase with time, blood/sweat, and $ until they are happy with the end product. I am trying to avoid that with my DD that will see snowy Tahoe at the very most. Seldom mild wheeling is my 89 4Runners job and my f250 diesel handles all the boring man work.

it mildly bewilders me that I’m choosing to press forward with the level at all. In the past it was for clearance or bigger tires. As of now I have full “stuffed lock to lock” clearance with upgraded 32in GY ultraterrain tires that I will not go bigger than over it’s life as it’s a DD. So now it’s 100% for a look. Even though the 5100 billies do perform better than the stockies. Pretty much only thing I can claim now, ugh. And online company I bought from has the best customer service around, but their return policy is rough. I pay for return shipping(at 50-something pounds) and there is 20% restocking fee.

Yours is AC and 885s may work/look differently vs DC. But I don't have any issues with them. I did replace the needle bearing a year after the lift ( as a precaution).
I would go for it. 885 or 2" is hardy a lift and should not be causing any drivetrain issues.
If you replace just fronts, the job is less than 1 hour per side. Always can change back to stock.

    .

you are right, And it is only a relatively quick swap if I don’t like it. Who am I to deny myself my own piece of American excess, ha. I’m hoping HS’s chart is accurate for my 3rd gen AC 4x4 bc I am just over 1.5in higher in rear.

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
Set it on the 4th setting, 1/4 bushing on the driver's side for the taco lean, and spend another $100 and put a 1 inch block in the rear. This will give it an awesome stance, still have a slight rake and a 800 pounds in the bed is will still set level. Don't void your lifetime warranty by changing the coils to OME as they will sag later on. The ride will be so much better, thank me later.

alright team, finally threw on the 5100 all around with OME 885 up front on my 21 TRDOR AC V6 AT. Nothing in rear to change height. No numbers to account for taco lean as I don’t really see it(but I’m sure it’s there) and a full tank of fuel. Tried to take it in same spot, relatively level.

First pic with shadow on tires is stock with front at approx. 20.1in and rear at 21.5in.

second pic after 5100 and OME 885 up front, front: 21.3in and rear 21.5in. After 1 day and approx 10miles so probably not settled completely.

overall thoughts: rides very nice, more noticeable then stock ride with a little extra stiffness, but very subtle. The average person would not be able to tell. The look is exactly what I wanted, subtle and hopefully functional(haven’t tested off road). Drove perfect after but took it down for an alignment anyway and was in spec, no adjustment needed supposedly.

warning: to those taBROma drivers (like I used to be and still kind of am on my 89 T4R), this setup will give you almost no lift, and I have the AC. verrrrry subtle so look another direction if you’re looking for some height.

    Interesting..

Absolutely. I took same measurement spots. But admittedly my working familiarity with a tape is probably less.
