U Joints and carrier bearing. Spicer.

Bought these trying to track down a groan. Turns out its my front differential needle bearing. Brand new only opened for pictures. Paid $130. Selling for $80. I'll ship on buyers dime. Located in San Diego.

I meant the differential. The front differential drivers side needle bearing.

 

Did you make a post about the vibe on a Toyota Facebook group? If so I might have seen it. I’m just curious, was this the stock needle bearing or had you already done the ecgs bushing.

 

I did not make a post about it. Its the stock needle bearing. I have the ECGS bushing now just need some free time to install it.

I've been trying to track down a groan that starts up about 30mph. I've already thrown front bearings on it and no joy. I'm having a helluva time figuring out exactly what the problem is or where it's coming from. How did you figure out yours was the needle bearing?

 

To be clear I haven’t installed the part and solved the problem but I’m 99% sure. If the groan goes away when you put your truck in four wheel drive then it’s probably the needle bearing. This thread has tons of info. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/front-diff-vibes-ecgs-bushing-fix.464941/
