Another suspension lift question.

I had a 2016 SR5 that I put Bilstein 5100 on front and an AAl on rear shortly after I got it for about a 2”-1” lift. I have traded that 2016 for a 2022 TRD Off-road now and the ride is incredibly softer. I didn’t realize the old truck was rough till i started driving the new. Is there a lift I can add to my 2022 that will give me height but keep the ride as soft?

 

I personally hated the stock OR suspension. The body roll and brake dive was borderline unbearable.

That said, you might have some luck with some of the higher end kits - Icon, fox, kings, etc to retain some of the squish.

 

Possibly look into Westcott designs.

Same here! I seriously couldn't stand it. I had to immediately change it out before the truck even hit 3k miles.

 

TRD lift? Pretty sure the whole point to that lift is to keep it as close to stock ride as possible. Or long travel. Basically a Cadillac then. Tires make a big difference too.

Same. Body roll was atrocious. Made me feel like I was being watched closely when someone was behind me. Drifting like I had been drinking after the slightest bump or turn.

That said, now I have the exact opposite with my Ironman setup. It's stiff to say the least. I actually like it though and contribute most of it to E-rated tires.

 

Wait is that purple????

 

Take a look at RoadMaster Active Suspension system. I added this after changing the shocks to Bilstein 5100 all around. Been very satisfied with the performance.

 

Blue crush metallic. Or Blurple. It’s a new color for the Tacoma in 22. I think Toyota had it on Corolla in the past. In the sun it’s blue and shade it looks purple.

 

TRD lift is basically just a 5100 lift that reuses OEM springs and rear blocks.

 

Whatever the lift on the PROs is then. I think that's the step above the TRD lift.

 

It’s not very purple in person with regular sunlight. Under unnatural light or in the dark it does look purple though.
