I'm planning on buying the anytime camera mod for my 2017 TRD OR from here:

    https://www.anytimebackupcamera.com/products/anytime-backup-and-front-camera-full-kit

    My question is,

Is it possible to mount the front camera to my factory chrome cheese grater grill or do I need to buy a Pro grill?

Just about every install I've seen has it mounted to the TRD Pro Grill. Attached is a picture of the cheese grater grill in question.

    Thanks!

Small bullet cameras can be mounted directly above the grill center and pointed through the top center hole. I’ll post a pic of mine today.

Cheese grater grills are classy, don’t buy a pro grill like everyone else!

If you do buy a cheap camera though, don’t make my mistake by getting a rear bumper camera that cannot be set for a reverse image - If you do run it forward everything will be backwards!

I drilled a hole and mounted on the center of the bottom of the emblem block. Then flipped the aspect of the camera so it showed correctly. If you look close it's right under the emblem.
    Almost can't notice.

image.jpg You know what? I totally forgot that I change the camera location on my truck. I figured out an easier way to do it. I mounted the camera on a small block of wood and glued that with silicone adhesive to the bottom ledge behind the lower part of the grill and stuck the lens through the center lower most hole. The emblem on the front of the grill was getting in the way of the other one and I had to change cameras due to the lens getting foggy from being hit by sand and stuff. Don’t buy too expensive of a camera because the lens will get messed up in time and you may have to replace it after a few years like I did after 4-years.

    Perfect, thank you!

Thanks, I'll be using the camera that comes with the kit. Hopefully it holds up. The block of wood looks like a good idea.

This is a no-drill solution with a solid mount. I cut the wood to fit and to act as a spacer to raise the camera so it fits through the grill hole. Ive had it for over a year this way and off roaded with it on rough washboard trails for a lot of miles and it never came off. Paint the wood to help keep it from weathering too.
