Question for those with 2010 and newer

I just purchased some bucket seats to do the conversion from bench seats for my 2010 tacoma, I think I got screwed, I have a 2010 so they have side airbags and the guy I purchase them from was extremely adamant that his were 2010 but I noticed they don't have the side airbag tags on the seats. So for you guys with 2010 or newer does yours have them? Thanks

 

Looking at old brochures side seat airbags became standard equipment in 09 and were optional prior to 09 so those seats must have came from an 08 or earlier if they don't have airbags unless someone tore the tags off.
Do they have the connectors there for the airbags?

Unfortunately I got screwed, he was so damn adamant but I learned a $550 lesson not to trust anyone ever

 

Yea with something like that it's hard to know if your not sure what to look for, I've also had people come into the shop thinking they know what year their vehicle is and being totally wrong.

 

The stupid part is I knew to look for the tags and even asked him, he swore he had a 2010 so my foolishness was taking him for his word and not verifying

 

Maybe you should confront him with the facts and have him give you the money back for the seats. He may not be as big of an ass as you think.

But then again he may be. At least give him a chance to redeem himself.

 

Nope he blocked me, I have no one but to blame but myself, valuable lesson learned. I mean they are in good condition so I know I can recoup some if not all my money back reselling them

 

He is being an ass is confirmed then.
