Heated side view mirrors mod

I have a 2019 SR Taco. It didn’t come with side view mirrors with the defrost option. Does anyone know if it is possible to install new ones? Thank you.

I’ll check it out. All my other vehicles had the defrost symbol on the side view mirrors. Thank you.

 

Big Welcome to TW. There’s a few threads on how to add it where it was never available. Your units pretty new. Should be able to scare up parts pretty easy.

 

I have a 2019 Utility, the lowest trim available and it has heated mirrors. My mirrors have been replaced with Spotter mirrors. I still have the originals and looked at them and they don't have the "defrost" symbol. Look below your climate control and see if it has a defrost looking switch. I didn't know mine had them till I engaged that push switch.

This was something I had to have.

Previous vehicle had heated seats, but no heated mirrors. Made no sense. Typical Subaru stuff.

Now I have heated mirrors and no heated seats. Makes sense. Typical Toyota stuff

 

Apparently my taco has heated mirrors but there's defrost symbol to indicate the feature.

I am lucky I got both heated seats and mirrors. Need them up here in the North

 

No bacon symbols on Tacoma mirrors, but it's there. Just another example of Toyota ignoring general convention just because.
