Hello everyone. Recently purchased a new 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport and the truck leans to driver's side. It is very noticeable from the rear of the truck. Toyota service department told me that the gas tank is located on the driver's side and since I had a full tank of gas that is why the truck leans. Now, I'm a woman, but I'm not stupid! Rather than argue the point at that time, I politely left the dealership and have since measured the distance on both sides of the truck at various fuel levels. I'm measuring from the garage floor (center of wheel) to the bottom of the wheel well. Every single measurement indicates driver's side is 36" but passenger side varies between 36-3/8 to 36-7/8. The more fuel, the lesser the variance ... so that blows the dealerships theory right out of the water. Besides that, I'm sure Toyota built in the factor of fuel capacity when they designed the truck so it should not lean no matter how much gas is in it.

Before I take my truck back to the dealership and go round two, can anyone tell me if they have had the same issue? Or is there something else I can check? Thank you in advance.

    They told the truth.

    Taco lean is a thing.

But you did well walking away and seeking a second opinion. Now you won't get your name on the crazy customer list that your return visit would have triggered. :D

Welcome to TW! A lot of people will put a spacer on the driver side to compensate for the lean.
