I have a friend who recently got Forscan for their Ford truck and it allowed them much more customizability on the trucks software such as turning off the warning noise if the door is open and seat belt noises. Is there something like that for toyota vehicles (tacos specifically) where I can turn off the annoying door beeping and things like that. All I have found are purely OBD scanners and don't allow altering the programming at all

    Heres a link to Forscan:

    https://forscan.org/home.html

Specifically I want their "Configuration and programming functions (only in FORScan for Windows, require Extended License)" for my taco.

    Thanks for the help guys.

FORScan (such an unfortunate name) is for Ford / Mazda only. I do not believe it will connect to Toyotas.

For Toyota, download and install TechStream from the 1st Post of the ECU Update thread (see the link below). Follow the installation instructions. The very last Spoiler in that post shows all possible Customizations.

I'm assuming that you have a Tactrix adapter?

No I'm fresh to all this, Honestly the settings I saw from your links don't look in depth enough to justify the price tag associated to change like 1 setting. Thanks for the help

If you are JUST doing Customizations, the cheap clones on Amazon may work. If you want to program keys or flash a TSB update, then you want the Tactrix.

Otherwise, you can look at my Feelers thread. Someone might be local to you? I do TSB flashes and Customizations for free.

Note that my Tactrix works perfectly with FORScan, so you friend's adapter might work also. It needs the J2534 protocol support.
