Last night while driving to do curbside pickup at a local restaurant I got caught in a rather nasty thunderstorm that included some decent sized hail. It sounded like someone was bouncing golf balls off the roof of the truck, and I was sure from the sound of it I'd be calling my insurance company this morning to report hail damage. When I looked this morning, there wasn't a ding on the roof or hood. Same thing happened to a 2015 Ram that I used to have and there were little dents all over the place. Gotta admit, I'm impressed with the build quality on this truck. Looks like they did it right :)

Not to shit on your parade, but i think you just got lucky with the way the hail hit your car, speeds, and size. Toyota certainly isn't spending more money on thicker titanium body panels.

He ain't lying. Same thing happened to me this summer. Golf ball sized hail. Never seen that before. My wife and I both own turd gen taco's. Both were unscathed. The storm lasted 10 minutes!

I got hit with a hailstorm last year but pulled over, and parked the truck till it passed. Hail was the size of a nickel. Some cars that were damaged were traveling at the road speed limits, i think that had much to do with it. I saw no damage to the finish on my truck.
