So update on the pc situation. I think at this point, I'll get more bang for my buck if I go prebuilt even though that doesn't sound as fun. I just really want to get the 3060 and they're like $800 right now if I can find one.

    Here's way my brother said:

Yeah pre built are always going to be cheaper because they get their parts at wholesale costs.

A lot of people are sacrificing and going to pre built for the same reason just to get their hands on a 30 series GPU.

That 3060 is going to be $800 (still way over priced) and the i7-10700K $350 so best bang for your buck…yeah I would go with the comp below over a custom build at this point.

Do you fit this category below that is highlighted?

Recommended Thinkorswim Settings for Power Users for a PC or Mac

If you meet Ameritrade’s definition of a power user (i.e. viewing multiple charts at once or running advanced technical studies) they recommend your machine have more robust specs. They recommend a Windows 10 operating system (10.10.5 for Mac users), and Intel Core i7 processor, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and one gigabyte of free hard drive space. In terms of graphics, they recommend having a full high definition monitor with 1920x1080 resolution, a dedicated video card, and hardwired Ethernet with a download speed of at least 15 megabytes per second.

If so I would for sure add another 2 more sticks of RAM.

So I'm thinking this for the price is good. Everyone said it’s like the best prebuilt they’ve seen and it handles everything perfectly and its super quiet even on gaming and it has like 7 fans. The only thing they don’t like is it comes with 512gb ssd but I can upgrade it to 1tb ssd whenever I want right?

I grew up on a farm. We raised pigs for a while. I wouldn't recommend it. Curing and smoking pork belly to make bacon isn't terribly difficult, but I've never tasted home cured as good as Wrights.

And really making pork belly burnt ends from the pork belly is a better use of it. :D

If you haven't had pork belly burnt ends, you are missing out.

Yup you can always add more storage as long as the MOBO supports more. and from the pics they provide it looks like there is more room for another SSD and more RAM

The clown has a full time job, and a bunch of retirement accounts (401k, pension, Roth IRA, & IRA), in addition to a brokerage account.

EDIT: Forgot the HSA, which he uses as an investment account.

Gonna need to invest in feed and slop and add a dash of labor to repair pens etc. Someone I know at a young age was in that years ago, thinking “raising a few hogs should be fun and save money!”

Then it’s time you expand into GME. If that’s a little too boomer, I’ve got something else you might like. Very cutting edge

Yea he just told me to go with the AMD build over the Intel because the AMD is 2021 and the Intel is 2020? I like the case on the Intel better and it has way more fans. Also the Intel was originally $1,699 marked down to $1,449 and the AMD has always been $1,449. A lot more reviews on the AMD so looks like that's the one most people get idk.
