I've been doing a ton of research and need help diagnosing my 2015 TRD. Its got about 110000 miles on it. It shakes when I hit the gas and fades when I let off the gas. The vibration seems to be the worst in the morning when it's cold, but doesn't completely go away when it warms up. It seems to get worse the harder I accelerate or if I go up a hill. The steering wheel doesn't shake. It's the seats and the back glass that seem to rattle the most, but my rear view mirror and dashboard rattle pretty good too. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not great with cars and trying to learn.

Do you have a lift or anything on your truck? Is your check engine light being set? Have you replaced spark plugs before?

Rotate your tires F-R and see if the shake moves from the rear to the front.

I'm kind of thinking it's a cv joint or u joint. I don't have a lift and I scanned my truck and found nothing wrong with the engine. I tried revving it in park and felt no vibration. I don't want to try the F-R thing because it starts around 25 mph and I really don't want to reverse at 25 mph. I'll start going through the diagnostic thread that gearcruncher posted. Thanks for the input yall. It is VERY appreciated.

If you do F-R swap why would you go in reverse at 25 mph

I think I misunderstood. What do you mean by F-R swap?

I just had these symptoms almost to the T.......Driveshaft carrier bearing. You can reach under there and shake it to verify. Hope this helps!?

Ohhhh. I just got new tires like a week ago. They were balanced and whatnot. This has been happening since before I got new tires though.

Was it hard and/or expensive to replace?

Super easy.... I replaced the driveshaft Ujoints as well....total was maybe $120 and a few beers...The carrier bearing itself requires a puller to pull it off the shaft though....i happen to have one....i think you can borrow them from stores like napa??
