Thanks for the recommendation! Its steel, but does kinda have that aluminum look. I don’t have anything to fix the hole. I’m going to see what Cali Raised wants to do first before I do anything.

Wow, I got that wrong.. it looked like black anodized aluminum to me from the pic.. since it's steel, I still wouldn't heat it but you can safely work that back flat without any worries of tearing the material.

Probably the most added horsepower on a Tacoma.

Extra Mile Performance in Odenton I've heard from a few people is a great place to do work for custom stuff. Was thinking about taking my truck there to install a Harrop E-locker in the summer when I work the cash up. I usually take my vehicles to a guy in Annapolis called Tucker's Auto. Very cheap, very honest guy who's a veteran. I'm sure if you called him up, he could probably do it too. I had him do all the maintenance work on my 2004 PreRunner (timing belt, fluids, water pump, valve cover gaskets, etc) and my dad had him rebuild a RAM 1500 engine for his wife because the head had a crack. He did it for 3/4ths the price the local guy down here wanted. If you end up going his way, tell him Mark with the Toyota pick up sent you.

I'm not sure, I think you should call around to body shops for that kind of work. Maybe a mom & pop repair shop would do it too?

It's not very close to Baltimore, and barely in Baltimore County, but here's the body shop I like and use.

I called them back in October to get a quote on a rear ARB locker when I wasn't so broke and the girl over the phone told me I had to bring my truck in for them to look at it before I got a quote. Being an hour and a half away, I never got around to getting up there. I guess it's for the best since I've decided on an Elocker rather than ARB. Would be nice to get a ball park figure at least over the phone. Driving 3 hours up and back just for a quote kinda sucks.

Does anyone know if there are any shops on the shore that do a good rust prevention spraying/undercoating? Ideally on the lower shore. I'll get around to fluid filming it if I have to but I'd be interested in finding somewhere to have it professionally done.

Personally, I do my own. It takes only a couple hours and you save $150 or more. I use both fluid film and woolwax.

I get that but installing a locker is time consuming and not quite a “bolt on” mod. 3 hours is a hike, I’d try to find someone closer to you. That’s why I’m a bit nervous moving to SC. Hard to find someone who specializes in toyota trucks. I was lucky and only lived 15 min from EMP. Now I live about 45 but I’ll still make the drive to see them. I’d try to find an offroad specific shop by you.

I've watched installation of E-lockers and I would really do it myself if I had a flat surface to work on. Harrop lockers are actually more "bolt on"or plug and play than ARB lockers. No airlines or compressor. The most challenging part for me would be getting the wiring to the front end. I hate dealing with wires. ECGS would do the install if I sent them my diff housing but I'm not trying to be without my truck for a month. And that leaves me with the wiring . It's not such a bad drive honestly, but I figured I could get a ball park quote for something I figured they have experience with over the phone before I drive up there.

Ah I misread and was still thinking air locker. Yeah man wiring blows. That’s why I just try and get an already made wiring harness for anything electrical. See if this would work, https://www.offroadwarehouse.com/product/toyota-elocker-wiring-harness-kit-high-pinion-18-foot-rear
