I searched a bit before posting but nothing specific to this issue.

I recently installed a Meso Customs 3rd brake light with 2 red BD rock lights and 2 white. I had been having issues with the remote lock from the key fob as well as the smart start with the BD rock lights/ bed lights that come in when you unlock the truck. I turned off the BD rock lights/ bed lights off on the dash and the problem seems to have vanished.

I guess what I am asking if this is plausible and/ or others have experienced something similar? Or, is this simply a coincidence and my investigation should continue??

During my search of the forums, I did find that there are some LEDs that have given interference for the ham radio folks. Maybe this same interference is so close to the shark fin that it throws the signal off for the fob??

    Thank you for any insights!:)

Sound like you need some RFI/EMI filters/chokes to put on the BD lights to block the interference. I don't have any specific product recommendations, but there are a lot of them out there. You might even hit up BD for a recommendation.

    Thank you for the reply.

I didn't know such items existed. Ill give BD a call and see if there is something that they can recommend. Although, I dont look forward to getting the 3rd brake light off of the truck again. That silicone is some strong stuff.

    Thanks again for the suggestion.
