I had to have my SCS Wheel centers machined to get rid of the lip that holds the center caps so they fit over my rear hubs (custom axle). My front didn't require this but needed to do this to all 4 so I could rotate the tires. Now, obviously, center caps aren't usable. This isn't an issue with the back as the hub sticks out through the wheel. But the front is just a hole with the dust cap visible through the hole.

Has anyone else came across this scenario?

@SCSPerformance is there a solution or just something I'll have to deal with?

    Waldo,

Once you machine out that lip, there's nothing for a snap on cap to cling onto. The centerbore has a tight tolerance so a slip-through center-cap won't work either. I'd recommend you shoot a few light coats of semi-gloss black on the dust caps to freshen up the look.

I was curious if you had something that is similar to the dust cap, like a compression fit, if that would work? I might just do some measuring, draw something up, and see what my machine guy can do for me.

Going with a compression fitting, similar to the dust cap. The drawing makes it look larger than it really is, but should fit nicely and low profile. Thoughts?

Nope, and I lost the drawing. Never got around to drawing it again.
