Got sick of all the sand and salt down the whole side of truck - Installed Rokblokz mud flaps. These I like. Hated the stock ones - they snapped off first time I played in the snow. No instructions but watched 1 video online super easy install. No troubles with them at all.

 

Funny, I take rocks from all kinds of places I've traveled. My favorite pots/plants get the best ones.

 

This is definitely one of those times were it's best to think about it before the lift and make a Story Stick... but nobody ever does that. If I do lift mine or level it I'll probably forget too.

There is a few on the road map 2 wheel. Hard for me to say. Some seemed like there was nothing to it. Most were no issue and a little surprised in a couple spots.

 

My only hesitation there is that the A-pillars are already massive enough. Several months ago I lost somebody in my A-pillar blind spot and nailed them when I took a left turn into my work parking lot. Fortunately my victim got away with some scrapes and a sprained ankle. I don't think I need an even larger pedestrian blind spot so, personally, I'd opt for smoke.

 

My parents are in AZ, they have a new kick of finding turquoise in the washes. I usually just find rocks with my kids up at lake superior... apparently its a federal crime to remove rocks from there.

 

She helped me snap the sides that was the hardest part. Checked it and the heat is working in making it fit better. Tomorrow I will anchor the window next to the cab and make sure all the Velcro is smooth and put together right. Need to have a light in the bed area to see. I am happy so far with it summer time would be a better time to put one on. The material is very strong and should last a long time! Only got it a few hours ago and it took a couple hours to get it this far. I had the cover off once to re/snap it just to stretch it more. The back door come off and on pretty easy even cold.

 

I already hate mine too, lol. Spray is getting everywhere. I have a set of fender flares but was waiting for my bumpers to install. Might not make it. Still a bit unsure about them. I've seen setups with them that look great and setup that just look terrible. But since this is the trucks first winter, I am leaning towards not really caring what they look like as long as they keep the majority of spray of the truck. So I'll probably get some rockblocks or rekgen's to replace the stock mud guards too. Are your RB's that pliable material? Or are they the hard plastic/polymer?

Love my after market Mud Flaps have them on the Challenger too! Plenty of ice and snow on these this winter and there just fine. Boot Kickers work good to pound my shoes off getting in I made these out of ABS. PS These are Crap just looked and one on the rear is busted from backing into a snow bank turning around!!

Man, I was in Borrego last Sept & it was 128°. No biggie, I’m from AZ so extreme heat is the norm. NOBODY was on the trails due to heat, so as we were heading back to paved roads, we happened upon a dude, his wife AND NEWBORN BABY from LA about a mile in trying to get out to the slot canyons at about 6pm when it was still 120°+ in a 2wd BMW SUV. Dude was buried to the frame, on about 1/16th tank of gas, a 16oz bottle of water, zero cell service, and revving the living shit out of it trying to get out w/ his Bridgestone Alenzas. Anybody’s guess what could’ve gone wrong had we not been there, but I’m convinced we saved at least his baby’s life that night. We were cool with him but also pretty stern in our THE DESERT KILLS DUMMIES LIKE YOU EVERY SINGLE DAY reprimands. I’m still incredulous about his stupid decision.

 

After a week of the rear panel flapping , I put on the provided velcro strips on the tail gate.

I am very happy with the result. If the velcro ages poorly, I will fit tonneau cover twist studs. Violating the tailgate with drilled holes doesn't phase me in the least! ;-)

Already had 20 posts on that. I don’t get it. So your last vehicle or stereo worked differently. Are you old dogs who can’t learn new tricks? It’s called change. If my next vehicle works differently I’ll learn that too.

 

I use that Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover. It works wonders. Better than Goo Gone, but that has just been my experience.
