Cost me a bucks and half to have the guy tint my two front windows to match the rear door and back window. I thought it might have been a bit on the high side but he came highly recommended and did a great job! Maybe falls squarely into the you get what you pay for box.

Is it worth the extra $200 between the pinnacle and stratos? These are the quote I got from my local tint shop to have all the sides and rear done.
    Formula 1 Classic - $350
    Formula 1 Pinnacle - $550
    Formula 1 Stratos - $750

Between the 3M Crystalline and the F1 Pinnacle, which would be better for the $$? I have yet to get any quote for the 3M Crystalline.

    Taken from their website.

Classic - Premium tint with a metallized layer that helps reflect away the sun’s harsh heat and glare; has a reflective look different from other tint.
Pinnacle - Nano-ceramic construction gives this ultra-premium tint elevated heat rejection and improved glare reduction, along with sleek style
Stratos - The most luxurious tint we offer with our highest heat-rejecting power, sun protection and style. Made with concentrated nano-ceramic construction.

I would get the cheap shit but I also park in a garage and only care that it works while I am driving. If I had to park in the sun all day would prob get the better stuff

Out of those 3, I would go with the pinnacle.

Reasoning that the highest end is not worth the extra 200.

I don't know the specifics, but it is usually an extra 10% heat rejection from the middle tier.

The middle tier gives u a big boost over the lowest tier.

I know some of the metallic tints will reduce your cell reception. Ceramic always seems to be the better choice with films.

I went legal on the front sides and a 5" strip on the front and if my memory serves was $150.

Got any photos of the 35% on the front? Also, curious where on the central coast you were quoted this price for the front and back. I called a place in Santa Cruz, they came back today with $200 for iirc SunTek ceramic, but I only asked about the driver/ passenger side windows to match the factory tint on the rear, and he thought 35% would be closest. I'm wondering if I shouldn't have them put something on the back to darken it up though, but am reluctant to go much darker than 30 or 35 up front.

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
I'm near SLO. Local shop is in Grover Beach. It's a guy I know that has a reputable shop that's been here for quite a long time. Friend of a friend but I'm pretty sure he was quoting his standard price for that particular product.

He's got a real nice '17 Taco that's been set up real nice and he has that exact tint on his. I can't zip you a pic yet since I haven't done it yet. I've been bolting too much other shit on to mine but I'm pretty close to going in for it.

Yeah I know what you mean, definitely been putting all kinds of different mods together on my truck and pushing those costs up (for example, never would have thought I'd spend $700 on a light bar, but after ordering the bumper figured I had to get it to fill the cut out) but I saw another Tacoma with tinted windows and it just tied it all together, let alone for practical purposes, and that brought it to the forefront for me. I'm not sure if the brand of film at the shop I spoke to is the best, seems most people recommend Llumar tint, but then again $200 for ceramic seems pretty good. I'll have to see what the cost for full coverage would be though.
