    That is an awesome rig!!

I have color envy, I couldn’t afford anything in the army green but that’s my favorite color.

I though they wouldn’t do the stock lift on dclb?

Our 4Runner was MGM, which looked great but never really stood out. But this one... I could stare all day. Hard saying no to army green!

There isn't much Information about the kit and compatibility for '22 models, but I'm guessing that changed for this year... o_O
For reference, this is how it sat before they installed the lift, rims, & tires. December 5, 2021

First wash and detail is complete. Feel like a proud father... anyways the @Baja Designs SAE fogs arrived and were promptly installed. Gonna tackle the AlphaRex Nova's tomorrow and then try and find a place to aim them properly.

Update for December 23rd – Nova’s are installed!! Pulling that fender back enough to drop off without hurting the clips was tricky af but just took my time with it and eventually it did come loose.

I have the “Sport Bajas” which are out of control bright. I’d guess they are 10x brighter give or take. If not more.

the SAE (my understanding) is a diffuser of sorts that can be removed if needed. At least it used to be that way.
The SAE’s were the sports with a slotted diffuser added to minimize the light output).
I can’t confirm that they are still that way.

DiamonadBack HD – Install date: January 22, 2022

Took advantage of the weather yesterday and got the cover installed. Prep work to start, the kit includes shims that are fixed to the underside of the truck bed rail caps and a foam strip that goes under the cab rail. Cleaning the surface with rubbing alcohol is recommended so that adhesive will stick best. Second photo is what the 3M pieces look under that trim peace. I found that it took more force to snap these back into place, but you can't tell anything was put underneath the cap.

    IMG_0278.jpg
    IMG_0279.jpg

Toyota makes a trim piece to help weather seal the gap between the bed rail and cross member by the cab. I was unaware of this until I stumbled across a build thread from @BudFriendguy after which I promptly located the parts at a local dealer. Follow his install guide and you'll have it done on in roughly 20 minutes. Thanks for this idea man, I owe ya one!

Much happier going this route opposed to the silicon kit provided. Woke up to plenty of frost on the car but no leaks on either side. A good Portland rainstorm should tell me if I need to seal it further...

    IMG_0283.jpg

Now the good stuff, installing the actual cover. Centerpiece first, followed by the tailgate section and lastly the cab section. Confirm fitment and spacing prior to clamping down the centerpiece to the bedrail. Once it's lined up and clamped down, adjust the lock rods and secure them in place. Have a buddy stand on the cover while you do this. Having downward force on the cover will allow for the best weather protection when the cover is shut. Rods will catch inside the bedrail but don't touch the side of the bed. See DiamondBack's install instructions here.

    IMG_0281.jpg
    IMG_0280.jpg

With your lock rods in place, the final step is attaching the gas struts and insure the safety catch is in-place.

    IMG_0284.jpg

DiamondBack installed our rail system at the factory. You can absolutely do this portion yourself, but I felt better about having them drill the holes so I just paid them to do it. With the rails already in place we had the Front Runner crossbars on in about 20 minutes. Distance from the cab side of the left rail mount (brackets with the Front Runner logo) to the tailgate side of the right rail mount is 36" which is just slightly more than the minimum distance required by iKamper for their tents. Both kits are well thought out and I'm super happy with this install!

Very nice! I definitely want to get the diamond back also. What made you get alpha Rex lights? Did you not have the stock led add on?

@afgixxer Stock headlights were halogens with LEDs for the DRL only. I liked the look of the four projector headlight better otherwise we would've gone with Morimoto (to match the @MESO full led tailights on order). We had the XLB's on our 4Runner and they were awesome!

Oh ok. I have the led upgrade and people seem to swap to the alpha rex. I want to get smoked taillights but the headlights seem bright enough. They do have a cool “dancing” feature with the lights though.
