At one location - yeah it’s pretty common. I think it helps pay for the payroll of the brick and mortar employees.

Do not buy from toyota parts deal.....just told me 3 different times items would ship "tomorrow"....now going on 2 weeks
I believe they are trying to low bid parts and hope they can get them before you cancel

Edit: just cancelled my order and asked if they charged my card, they said no, but I already knew they had so they lied about that too....beware

    Same as everybody else...
I've never had any issues with Olathe. Lately my local Toyota dealer has been very flexible on pricing. I picked up a set of brake pads, they were cheaper than online. Including Amazon, and no shipping charges

Just ordered from Olathe after the bad experience with Toyota Parts Deal.
The parts were shipped on time and actually made it a day early. Night and day difference, highly recommended.

STAY AWAY!!! They send the wrong parts but claim on their website the parts "fit your vehicle". In order to return, they require that you take and upload pictures of the product. Then they deny the return because you opened the packaging to take the required picture. They get you coming and going. Avoid them and all associated sites - e.g. infinitipartsdeal.com.

STAY AWAY! BUYER BEWARE! Ordered a gas door for $78 for my 4Runner from them. When I typed in the year of the vehicle, I accidentally put in 2013 instead of 2003. Their system automatically changed the part number which I did not notice. Item arrived and did not fit as expected. Spent 25 minutes on hold only for the RMA department to tell me to take pictures of the item.? TERRIBLE COMPANY, RETURNS DEPARTMENT! STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO GET RIPPED OFF!

Had a similar issue to all of the stated ones above. Card canceled it for us due to the appearance of fraudulent activity.

Stay Away. Rip Off Artists. Sent me a wrong part. I wanted to return. They instructed me to take picture of the product. I took the plastic wrapper off the product to take picture. They refused the return because I opened the package. Swindlers!!!

I can only say good things about them , order several parts from them and never had a problem. I type in my VIN and what I'm looking for and a couple of days later. I have it at the door.

As so many people have previously stated stay away from Toyota parts deal. They didn’t send me a transmission overfill drain plug and sent wrong transmission fill plug/o ring. I sent them pictures of items. I was told to send picture of shipping box and shipping label that I had already thrown away. I spoke with Diego at Toyota parts deal who basically said it’s company policy, nothing more we can do for you. So I filed complaint with better business bureau. I am disputing the charge through my credit card company. I will never use Toyota parts deal.com again and nor should you.

Newbie here, so I did get lucky on the 1st parts order that was filled correctly. But on the 2nd order, TPD canceled the entire order (5 smaller items) because they said all parts I ordered were discontinued (even though their website allowed me to place the order initially)?

My BofA CC statement turned up this merchant info just in case anyone needs it (hopefully not!): TOYOTAPARTSDEAL.COM 2506 TROY AVE SOUTH EL MONTE CA, 91733 (626) 279-7123. The TPD website link the bank has on file is the same as the parts ordering website btw.

So I'm calling BS on their shenanigans and will avoid them from now on. Just go with the some of the other reputable dealers mentioned above ^^. Caveat emptor!

I purchased parts a few times. Prices are good and is good as long as you don’t have issues with the order. If the order have issues, you are the one loosing.
Last issue I had: they proposed a part based on Vin#. The part did not fit. When I contacted them they did not accepted a return because the part was a special order (even when their system was wrong).
My advice, order from another place.

No, TPD doesn't drop ship parts. They contract with dealers across the country who ship you the parts. TPD stocks nothing, they just operate a website and contract with regional dealers that do the work for them.

Again, as everyone that's had an issue has said, TPD is all good until you have a problem. Then you're F'd.

Again, find a semi-local dealer and use them for mail order. I'm in the southeast and have been using Lowe Toyota in GA and I've never had an issue that was their fault. And I can call and talk to a human if there's an issue or if I can't find the PN online. I love to save $ but it is just NOT worth it to deal with TPD to save a few $. But people keep doing it.

My recent experience of weeks of effort to replace a simple gas cap I referenced on their site with the wrong gas cap delivered to me has today come to me paying the return shipping and getting hit with a 20% restocking fee.
Pretty sad when even Amazon knows this is the wrong part for my pickup!
Steer far clear of this retailer IMHO.

    Edit: A Lexus gas cap?

Slight stench of MF and nobody's mother's involved I know of.

    2nd Edit:
This company profits from over priced shipping of the wrong parts as well as in many cases customers just giving up through the process of their "RMA" system they have in place.
I've spent a little time combing through web forums looking into this outfit and they're far from anything even resembling a reputable or ethical business.
They're not even using a DBA name on their website! At present I have the time so it really isn't a matter of a gas cap, I've ordered two of them from a reputable site, it's a matter ethics in business practices.
Proper procedures are being taken and I have the receipts!

Keep ordering from them. Obviously, those of us that have been F'd by them don't know what we're doing LOL

    What you said!
Even with receipts I've been stuffed, never even got a chance to use them. This outfit needs some serious adjustments!
Do not buy anything from this company or it's sister subsidiaries!

I had McGeorge Toyota website saved since they had the best prices. Also here on TW they had a lot of good reviews. Well last week I went to their website and was suprised to see an empty page with NOT FOUND. I eventually found a site that had the exact same prices on parts that I picked out. Seems that McGeorge is now Ourisman Toyota. At first I was hesitant, but decided to bite the bullet and made a order close to $300 in parts. I placed my order on 10, Oct and I received the parts today, 16, Oct.

Good communication and fairly fast shipping via FedX.

They Are terrible, DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. I order a cargo mat from them it was folded in half and in a clear bag and i opened it to see if it fit and it did not, they denued the return because the bag was opened. The second part was the wrong description and i did not realize until it was opened and same thing, plus says they charge a 20% restocking fee. This is a completely ridiculous policy on a cargo mat

Listen to the previous posts! Do not order from them. They have not changed their processes. If your order is incorrect in any way, it is a nightmare to get a refund or the correct part. Pay a little more and get what you need.
