these would be good. Drill the braces, Pilot drill into wood. If its not longer than the depth of the brace and board, might be too long though

I've got a plethora of screws in my tool box that I'll look through to see if I got something, otherwise yeah. Butcher block is 1.5" thick so need something just right. Will definitely be pre-drilling to minimize chance of splitting.

 

Good old lag screws and washer would work, but need to pilot drill also

Thanks for looking out. I'm all mostly all good, somewhat. I went camping for a bit and started back at "work", the thread went like 20 pages and I've been on catch up for the last while.

I'm no clean person, but that would drive me nuts!

I've got a policy here, clean the chips off the working surfaces and sweep everyday. On Fridays clean the pan and everything else. Not always viable in a job shop, but at least hopefully they'll be better than me!
