For CA, not sure, but in NJ you can get something similar for 4500-5000, which still seems over priced. If you don’t need the truck or don’t plan on using it to make money, I’d definitely wait.

I’m by no means an expert. But IMUHO, that’s a lot to pay for that truck.

No not a good buy, you can get the same truck with a v6 and they get about the same mpg, the 4banger will get like 1mpg better, but once you put a load and bigger wheels and tires youre gonna wish it was a v6. I have a 97 tacoma same as this except its a reg cab. They made a v6 reg cab taco but only in a manual and I hate driving manuals so i passed, gl finding one by the way. Id wait for a v6 preferably a 98 model and up cus you got the rear locker, also the 95.5-97 4banger tacos have a lil “shudder” while at a stop light, only the autos. If you have more questions, ask me I know these trucks.

$9K for a 24 year old truck w/ almost 300K on it seems outrageous to me.. As well built as these trucks are, 300K has to be near the life expectancy of most of the drivetrain parts.

That truck has traveled the equivalent of circling the globe twelve times. Let that sink in before you buy it.
