    Hey all,
I’ve been struggling to solve this issue for sometime now. I had the same issue with my old tacoma as well. In short, I cannot electronically unlock or lock any door wether it is with the key fob or the electronic switch inside. When I press the lock/unlock switch and fob, I can hear a relay clicking but nothing happens. I have checked all the fuses and everything seems fine. When I manually lock all doors and hit the lock button on the fob it beeps like it should same with the unlock.

It would help to know a little more info about your truck (specifically year, engine size, and cab configuration) to look up the right wiring diagram.
2nd gen Tacoma door locks are controlled directly by the Body ECU (no serviceable relays are provided), power for the locks is supplied to the ECU via the DR LCK(20A), ECU-B(7.5A), and IG1 NO 2(10A) fuses.
It sounds to me like your actuators are dead, there's a wiring problem, or the Body ECU is not working properly.
Have you had any issues with water intrusion in the cab?
If you provide your truck information I can post the relevant wiring diagram.

Did you replace both of them? Just find it odd that they both went. It’s worth a try if all else fails.

Had the same issue with my driver door when I bought my truck back in September. Took it to the dealership and they replaced the actuator. Now it works fine. It was like 400 dollars for them to replace it. I had an extended warranty which covered it. OEM part was around 300 bucks. The tech said its a relatively common problem with all Toyotas during this era. If it goes bad again or the other one goes within the next 5 years, they're gonna be doing it again lol

You can easily verify the actuator is bad with a voltmeter or test light across the Blue/Black and Blue Red wires at the actuator, you should briefly see battery voltage or the test light light when you lock or unlock the doors.
If you do you have a bad actuator, if you don't you have a wiring or Body ECU Problem.
