I’ve been running KO2’s on my 2001 very happily for a few years now. I need to get new tires and I’m thinking of buying the same ones because they’ve been great, but my only hesitation is that I’ve found that the E load rating that they came in have been overkill for my truck.
I would love to buy them in the C range, but they only make the E load in my 265/70/16 size.

Am I able to change my tire size so that I’m able to use the C (or D) load? I’m having a hard time understanding what a comparable tire size would be?
It seems like my choices are:
    275/70/16 - D
    245/70/16 - D
    235/70/16 - C
    225/70/16 - C

Would these be too drastic of a size change?

Any other tires you think are truly the equivalent of the KO2s? I’ve scoured the site but keep coming back to the reliability of the ko2s. Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated!

I would go with the 275/70/16. ~.5” taller tire but will ride a lot better.

Thank you for your response! Would a .5” increase in height tend to affect anything else, like with my steering or braking?

With the lower rating, the tires will be lighter. However with them being taller braking and acceleration can be affected.

I believe the C load is either in 15" or 17" wheel configuration.
