    Anybody else getting a little grind going from 2nd to 3rd with the 6 speed manual?

    Yeah, from what I’ve read it’s a pretty common occurrence with the 6spd. Mine mostly does it when I shift quickly into 3rd, slowing it down pretty much eliminates it. When I first got my truck I looked into it and it sounds like the 3rd gear synchro is made of somewhat soft metal. Apparently it was updated in like 2007-2008 with a little better material resulting in less grind. With that being said, mines an 08 and it still does it.
    It got a little better with Redline MT90 fluid though.

    Yep, I found the same thing. Easing into 3rd stopped the problem. Thought I'd ask around just in case it was it was a problem with my truck in particular. Thanks for the heads up. Have a good 'un.
