I'm looking to do the same tires with my stock SR5. I know they're about as big as you can get for the vehicle without modifications - have you noticed any tire rubbing at all? Maybe while turning and going up an incline or over dips/bumps?

I just got the truck back from the shop with the new Cooper265/75/16 AT3 4S Discoverers. Photo below.

I will be off-road tomorrow with them. Around town they ride nice. Thanks again for the info.

Has anyone had any tread wear issues?

So I got to looking at mine today that are 13 months old (27K miles) as I had these installed Dec 28th after I bought it..

These tires had about 14/32 new now there at 5-6/32 tread wear a little high no way will I get 6 Years / 65,000 Miles out of these and these are rotated and balanced every 5K since I have free rotate and balance from when I bought them.

No issues at all. Even with my Weathertech mudflaps I have had no rubbing.

Cool, I'm pretty much totally sold on them at this point. Feels weird to get rid of my stock tires at only 2500 miles but these feel like a good investment and should help with the hills and windy wooded roads by me in crappy weather.

So I would like to put a set of these on my '22 TRD Sport 4x4. I want to go with the SEMA 4Runner rims using the 265/70R17, Discoverer AT3 4S.
Will that combo rub? I don't want that.

I have gone through a lot of posts in this thread and haven't found anyone that has used that truck/wheel/tire combo.
Please let me know if this is you.

I started running the Cooper AT3 in January. I sought out the Idaho/Oregon/Nevada corner in the snow. Didn't make it because I was plowing with my bumper into drifts. No road per se, just a track up the side of a hill. Traction was not an issue. The Coopers did just fine. Depth of powder was the problem. After I dug myself out the second time, I turned around and left for home.

Went off road on Thursday, also a 2 hour trip on the highway and the tires did great all around. Also, last night we got a meager 6 inch of snow and they seem to handled that well. Theses are real nice tires and thx for info again.

Most stock 3rd gen Tacomas can run a 265/75R16 or 265/70R17 with little to no rubbing. The air dam and mud flaps are usually the only things that get hit with this size and its usually a minor rub. We are happy to help further, PM on the way.

    Dumb question,
Discount tire only sells the White letter version of the AT3 XLT. Can I flip them around and do the letters on the inside?
