Looking for 265/70r16 KO2s, but virtually no one has them in stock. I assume staffing shortages and manufacturing slowdowns are the reason, but does anyone have insights as to future stock? I’m in Cali if that matters.

Can't help in Cali but the local Tire Factory in Coolidge, AZ had four in stock two days when I bought them.

Hopefully they're in the dumpster where they belong.

They're heavy and outdated and not very good at anything.

    Look into better tires :)

265 75 16 isn't as common as it used to be.

I have stock Toyos on my Sport AT & everyone I know that huck their trucks in the Cali desert runs Toyos. You may consider looking into a Toyo product in the desired size. I had an excellent experience with 35 12.50 17 Nitto Trail Grapplers if you are looking for an E load rating tire that is as agressive as a BFG mud terrain. They were loud AF on the road as one would expect from a mud terrain tire.

Are you sure they have size 265/70r16? Here is what I get when I search Costco in San Jose:

You know what's funny is I went to a couple tire shops before I got mine (not BFG's) and they all said they'd have to call Falken to order them. Gave me a very non specific time frame that was a long ways out each time. Went to discount and they said a couple weeks they would be here. I think some places just have subpar ordering systems or prefer certain brands so they make it harder for you to get them and then they want more for having to order them. When you say out of stock, did you check locally, or are you looking online? Because even checking online from our end could be different from what a local shop can do and sees on their end. I'm assuming you've done a little of both.

I did stop by Costco, who could not order me anything. All other stores were online (America’s Tire, Big O, etc) and are all out of stock.

Do you have a Discount tire near you? Check them. Their online shop is pretty shitty though. It won't let you check out if the tire size is incorrect for your vehicle. It forced me to input my vehicle before checking out, and that's when I called the local shop.

On the west coast, Discount Tire is called America’s tire.

Asked the guy in the tire department a couple of weeks ago while getting tires for my wife’s van. I saw a sign on the wall saying they carried them. He said they had them..:notsure: Maybe they’re out of them now?

Ko2’s are great tires. They deserve their popularity for many reasons. The haters are just trying stand out from the crowd because their mother never loved them or sumpin’. Only problem is, these trendy types all end up with the same tires as everyone else, again, while trying to avoid K02s, hence the Falken wildpeak trend, that morphed into the Ridgegrappler trend, that morphed into the Yokohama G003 trend, that morphed into the Toyo AT111 trend, and so on and so on.

All good tires, but not superior in all measures to k02’s, just different.

If you like the look of the k02s, they will be just fine for almost anything most people tackle off road, and are well behaved around town as well. BF Goodrich doesn’t joke around when making tires.
