Have been on here doing a lot of looking.

I am thinking I might go with a 2" level in the front.

Anyone got any pics of their truck with 2" lift in the front only?

    Much appreciated.

So I initially had Bilstein 5100’s set at 1.75” in the front, and the TSB springs in the back. I felt it was MAYBE level, but seemed a touch nose high. And then if I put anything more than 50lbs in the bed she was definitely nose high. Then I bought a trailer and the tongue weight made it even worse.

I then upgraded my leafs to OME medium duty, and it’s perfect for me. Tiny bit of rake normally, and is perfectly level when I tow or have a load in the back.

To each his own, but I didn’t like the look in the first pic, and am much happier with my front at 1.75” and OME medium packs in the back:

1.75” up front and TSB leafs:

Sorry just noticed you’re a 3rd gen. so not apples to apples. But maybe it’ll still help

That looks really good. Thank you very much for sharing. I am trying to decide if I can get away with the 2" loaded strut kit that Rough Country has and it still look okay or if I also need to do the rear. Rough country says I have to add spring to get the rear up 2" but I don't understand how the springs work nor was I able to find anything about 2" spring kit. I am very novice at all this and not too machinally inclined.

Hey I’m happy it might be of some help. There are countless options out there, and I know I was a bit overwhelmed at times trying to pick which to go with.

For me, it was a bit of an evolution. But personally, I’m very happy with the Old Man Emu Medium Duty springs in the back. The Heavy duty would have been more height than I needed.

You should be able to find lots of threads in it to help make your decision easier. The nice thing about going with a new leaf pack, and not add a leaf (AAL), is that it’s a medium difficulty bolt in job. With AAL you’ll have to take the leaf pack apart, and maybe that’s not something you’re looking to get into.

Lots of folks know more than me on here, but I’ll help however I can (and so will they!). It’s what helped me make lots of decisions with this stuff. Good luck OP!

Factory rake is around 1 5/8 inch so you will be nose high with 2 inch. I'd stay clear of RC tho.

Thank you again so much for all this help.

I measured at the center of the tire to the fender well on both front and back this morning. Front showed 35" from ground and rear showed 36 & 7/8" on level concrete.

So would I be good with just a 2" in the front?

Also what should I be looking at other than the RC?

Again, I appreciate all the help.

Check out some Bilstein 5100s and match them with an Old Man Emu spring like 885 to provide the lift. Then you can leave the bilsteins on the lowest setting (zero) Springs providing the lift up front should ride much better than a spacer lift like the RC

'Level' is an overrated looks only thing. It adds no functional value.

Rake is engineered into the suspension for a reason.

And a tip. Tacomas do not have struts. Regardless of what anyone's catalog says, or words a shop may use. The front is an IFS double wishbone coil-over-shock set up.

I'll get pounded by all the 'level it' and 'struts are the same as shocks' folks, but that's ok. :D
