cloudiness on side view mirrors ?

some cloudiness on the side view mirrors, it also scratches when you put a towl to it. any ideas ? thanks

 

yea, they haze up/microswirl really easily. i used some plastic polish and it worked pretty good. i also had some of the gel water-spot remover that worked quite well for clearing it up (although probably a bit too harsh for plastic, i wouldn't make a habit of using it)

 

Mirrors are plastic, doesn’t take much to scratch them.

Once you polish out the swirls, you can always apply a sealer/topcoat/wax etc to protect them a bit. I do it to all my lights, mirrors and glass. Makes a big difference, especially that instrument cluster.
