Can't believe I went back to this old school contraption. Installed today.

Turning the FOB off is not enough anymore as thieves can use your VIN and OBD port to steal your truck these days.

Yes, I know. if they really want to steal your truck they will no mater what. Hopefully they just move on to the next one.

Don't want to deal with a theft and vehicle replacement during supply shortages.

You can always pull the starter or fuel pump fuses. Brake pedal club locks are nice too.

Only thing I did to my truck today was finish up the GunMetal Grey delete project. I'm diggin the matte black!!

    Trim.jpg

BUT more importantly I updated my build page!!! For the most part at least. There's still a lot of pics I could take and I'll get around to it at some point. I'm sure most are like me and basically keep the build page for ourselves and to track our mods but it really does feel good when you sit down and get it all updated & on paper. It actually took me a sec.

Check it if you're bored! I'm pretty proud of it but one could say I'm biased. Couldn't believe how many things I've done since I updated it last. Pandemic'd I guess. Cheers!

I have no idea what that is, but it's pretty sweet. Please don't change the color scheme.

Update on this post: my TRD skid plate came in from Toyota of Greenville, SC yesterday. Was bigger than I had originally thought. But for now, it's here. More cold Temps and weather moving into Missi'ppi in next few days. So gonna have to put a hold on it until some warmer days (and have some days off).

What about a rear camera? I have been looking at the Garmin Mini 2 for a few weeks, but it doesn't have a rear camera like most.

I was wondering how fast Greenville was going to be, since I'm sure they got a flood of orders from here.

Hopefully mine will be here in the next few days :D

Wheels clubs arent very affective but will keep thieves away as its an "obstacle". My dad had a club on his 1995 Ford Escort, the thief broke into his car and took the steering wheel airbag without removing the club hahaha it was very impressive.
Usually they will take a hacksaw and cut the wheel so the can take the club off. This thief was very clean with his break in, in and out.

    Oh look, another mod....

I have the Mini 2 and love it. I've been using it for almost a year now. No issues at all. Garmin does not have a front & rear combo dash cam kit. If you want one for the rear of your car, you'll have to:

    1) Choose another brand.
    2) Do what others have done and put another Garmin Mini 2 on your rear window. It will still record and work properly.

I got the Garmin mini as well, a great little cam that stays out of the way. Some buy another as the interface can accept it and place it in the back window. The deal is you got to run the cable though to it.

I upgraded my forward cam and moved the old one to the rear. Plugged it into the port in the center console and sometimes it would come on and sometimes it wouldn't. Unplugged it from the center console and plugged it into the dash and it's been rock solid ever since. Toyota electricals are wonky.
