Can a non-off-road Tacoma that is 4x4 be made off-road?

    I prefer the on road model. Very good at crawling over mall curbs.

    I wanted 4x4 and the color matching fenders. I wasn't too interested in the crawl control and such. If I start getting to places that I need a locker, I will add an aftermarket one. I would rather learn and find the limit of the lower model. It's more interesting that way.

    I was upgrading from a 2001 Mazda B4000 2WD. I pushed the limit of that poor thing offroad and didn't see the point of putting money into a 2wd
