Hey Eric, I am heading to Port A Thursday may try to make it to PINS Saturday not sure what my buddy has planned yet he just had a new place built & I am coming down to help him so not sure if I will have any time or not. Is there anything going on down there?

 

PINS is Corpus Christi area 2 hours north of me man. I’m not too familiar with the area. I’ve never actually been to Padre Island via the Corpus side.

 

I knew you were South of there but still A LOT closer then I am. For some reason I thought you frequented that area, I guess when I hear y'all talk about South Padre I always picture Padre Island since I go to PINS more often then South Padre being its about 2 hours closer
I don't think we will be any further south then that but if we do I will send you a msg.

 

The island is split in two by this barge lane or whatever you want to call it. Blue highlights the farthest I’ve visited. I know PINS stretches a good 40 miles or even going southbound.

We camped for 4 days at the farthest South end of PINS a few years ago we saw about 3 or 4 people a day that went to the jetty but they didn't stay long it was awesome. Brought the dogs & let them run free. That was in an 88 Suburban with a 4" lift this will be my 1st time in the Tacoma I expect it to do better than the Sub even with stock suspension.

 

The jetty on our side is known as the East Cut. We usually hang out for a few hours drinking beer before we had back south a few miles to set up camp.
