How "dirty" should a bed be when buying?

What condition should a bed be for a 2016 with 50k miles? This one is $35k and they cleaned up the bed, but it looked like it was outside a lot and has some rust on the bolts. For that money, should pass when I see something like that? The top where it meets the body has "silver" on it, where the paint is wearing off near the back window, the bare steel. Not totally, but it's wearing off the paint.

Edit: I am thinking that underneath may be more rust.

6 year old truck. I'd be more concerned with the amount of toxins the seats have absorbed.

Replace the bolts and call it a day. The beds are composite so they won’t rust. Check the frame though

It’s a plastic tub. Our trucks don’t have metal beds so there can’t be any rust issues with the bed. Also “it was outside a lot” where else would a truck be?

Beds good. As said above so a good inspection underneath for frame rust.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Depending what state you live in may lead to those bolts and underside of the truck having more rust... or less.

as for the top rail on the front of the bed... mine started to fade out after a few years of the Florida sun. I pulled it off and gave it a few coats of paint and it’s been good since.
