I can tell you from all the Germans I have in an exchange program, it's the same reason why they don't name their kids Adolph. It used to be a common traditional name, but since the war they have all but ex'd it out according to them. Admittedly it's the first thing I think of also when I hear that name, so I think the premise is the same.

Also....I purchased the Uptop snorkel and will post pics when I get it delivered and installed (3rd gen update!) let's see how it runs with the supercharger. lol ....thinking about going for it all and upgrading my UCA/LCA with total chaos

I drove from Denver to Atlanta and back for Christmas and I think the cap (the piece missing in the photo) rattled loose. When I opened the door the cap popped off which let the door handle slide off of the door latch (same method as if you were going to change the handles). So luckily nothing broken just an annoyance

 

Third brake light and chase light in, just need to wire. Also water tank is situated and will work on that when it's not going to be in the 20s at night.

I do like the AJT ones also.
But these just seem to have a more factory look. They look exactly the same as the OEM ones in the dark. Yet these provide the larger gripping surface I was looking for.

 

Finished up the new Coastal Offroad Extreme Clearance front bumper the other day!

 

No skid marks because of antilock brakes. It was a big adjustment working accidents when they came out. Used to use skid marks to help calculate speed before impact.

$330, if would personally not buy the security bolts if I were to do this again. Ended up only using 4 of them since I felt like I was going to strip them with my torque wrench.

There's another CAT cover posted on TW, something about it being the only brand approved by Toyota, I would probably do that one if I had a 2nd tacoma.

 

Test wire is a success! They act as blinkers as well. Very happy with these.

 

Yup, this bumper chops off the stock, thin, low hanging front crossmember and welds a new one up around 5'' higher. Still need to make a front skid to accommodate for it.

 

What size are those Wildpeaks?

 

Sounds like a fun project. Does Coastal Offroad offer a skid that works with that particular bumper? I only ask because I like the bumper but am not much of a fabricator.

 

They do! Technically I don't think this ''extreme'' clearance front bumper for the 3rd gen is listed on their site yet, but will be sometime soon.
