    Build thread in sig...
after a lot of experimenting over the years, i have 3 saw sizes (not counting table, miter, etc....)
Rockwell 4-1/2 for small, intricate, or tight space work.
Bosch 7-1/4 for everyday stuff. after looking around, it's about the smallest framed 7-1/4 out there.
Makita 10-1/4 for the big stuff.
if the makita can't handle it, I grab the chainsaw, and refine the cut with the planer and sanding.

I literally cooked this one last weekend cutting 3/4 plywood. I have a inquiry into Dewalt for warranty. Fortunately I have a 1970s worm gear as backup, but I have toasted a half dozen saws in the building of only two homes recently. 92FE27F1-FE82-4E94-BE6F-6E80725C637A.jpg

Today was great. I am adding tons of shelves to the shed.

Saving dollars by using leftover 2x4s and 1x4s from all our concrete work. Some 20ft!

Two 20VMax DeWalts. 6.5 and 7.25 ready to cut

I have 45° and 90° cuts - I could have used the chop saw and changed the angle or worse a single circular and changed as I worked my way down 20 foot boards BUT I set the 7.25" for angled and 6.5" for straight.

Angled cut, then straight cut, then angled cut, then straight cut. Fast work.

Really slick to not have to change angles every other cut. Nice!

    GET BOTH!

Been using the 6.5" every day. So light. Just the thing for 2x lumber.
